Crediton’s Eco-Crafternoon is now open for Workshop Bookings
Workshop bookings are now open for the Eco-Crafternoon to be held on Saturday 29 November in the Boniface Centre, Crediton.
This unique celebration of craft, community, and conscious consumption is brought to life by social enterprise Significant Seams and community sustainability group Sustainable Crediton. It is held from 1pm to 4pm at the Boniface Centre in Crediton.
Workshop spaces are limited so the organisers are urging attendees to pre-book now via Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/2025EcoCrafternoon.
What to Expect at the Eco-Crafternoon 2025
EcoCrafternoon is more than a market — it’s a hands-on, values-driven afternoon packed with inspiration for a sustainable season. On the day there will be:-
- Over 16 curated eco-conscious artisan stalls
- A wide range of creative workshops and demos using reclaimed, reused, or natural materials
- A “Give & Take” textile and craft exchange. This is a great opportunity to declutter your stash and/or find something new
- Warm, community atmosphere focused on wellbeing, not overspending
- Refreshments
The event is free to attend, and many activities are free of charge (donations welcome). Some workshops charge a small fee to cover costs (prices at Eventbrite link). All activities are designed with ecological impact and economic accessibility in mind—showing how to celebrate with heart and intention, rather than stress and excess.
“Booking early helps us prepare better for demand and make sure everyone gets the most out of the day,” says Catherine West of Significant Seams. “It also guarantees your spot in the workshops you want.”
“So many winter traditions are rooted in togetherness, creativity, and reflection,” says Catherine. “Crafting allows us to reclaim those values in a really practical and empowering way. It’s also just fun—and a great way to connect with others.”
Sustainable Crediton’s Core Group member, Lesley Thomas adds:
“The Give and Take Exchange is about more than swapping craft materials — it’s about building a creative community that values sustainability. By sharing fabrics, tools, and inspiration, we’re reducing waste and giving new life to materials that might otherwise be discarded. It’s a simple yet powerful way to show that creativity and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.”
