Now Booking: September ’22 DRLC Courses

Slow Stitching for Wellbeing and Silent Zoom for Wellbeing will be back from 8 September 2022. Both are online courses, delivered by Zoom.

Slow Stitch will weave together practical instruction and silent meditation. During the course, students will be guided in creating a beautiful and unique Book of Stitches, following the principles of Slow Stitch. A variety of hand stitches will be explored and students will be encouraged to continue their meditative stitch practice between online sessions. Throughout the course students will be gently encouraged to examine, and invited to share, their experience of life. Suitable for people new to stitching and/or the principles of Slow Stitch.

Students will be sent a resource pack, with everything they will need for the course. Please book as soon as possible to allow time for this to be posted to you.

Silent Zoom is a weekly, hour long crafting session with no instruction, where the craft/activity and action of hands working is the focus. It provides the opportunity for people to bring their own craft/activity and work together in meditative silence in the presence of others. Students will bring their own craft/activity to work on during the session will be encouraged to continue their meditative activity between sessions.

This six week series is made possible with support from Devon Community Foundation.
