Easter Youth Programme Details and Booking

Did you know there is a quirky and creative walled garden near Crediton Train Station? Guitars grow from tree trunks and drums sprout vegetables – or maybe its the other way around? The polytunnel awaits and the amphitheatre needs actors. So Significant Seams and Turning Tides are calling out for adventuresome, creative and/or curious 11-16 year olds to join us in exploring the ‘Rhythm in the Roots’ of this fantastical place. We’ll grow colour, harvest songs, and stew up silliness together, and weave it all into a special Easter experience!

We will have four half days together: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 4, 5, 11 & 12 April. We will meet each morning at 10 am at Turning Tides Tea Rooms at Crediton Train Station. We will then jaunt up to the secret space where our shenanigans can begin. At 2pm adults will collect the kids from the same place. In between we will do creative things, share a hot meal, and revel in nature. We will make plant prints to fabric, pot up seedlings that will sprout colour. We will make music together, and weave wonderful stories.

We will be outside throughout each session so young people should dress warmly. We will be going for a short walk up a nearby hill and will be in an area of uneven ground. It regularly hosts fully inclusive events, with appropriate enablement support.

Devon young people entitled to Free School Meals are sponsored by Devon County Council. Others can book for £40 (£10/day).

Adults of any young person with PIP budget or an EHCP stating they should have enablement support please contact us to discuss your young persons needs, and please be aware we may need you to use your direct funding to support your child’s participation. We warmly welcome all young people and will do everything we can to ensure they have an amazing experience. Space is limited so Book NOW by emailing catherine @ significantseams.org.uk.
