Significant Seams Gift Guide: Handmade Gifts
If someone on your list has everything a crafter could need and a stash stuffed to the gills, or has no interest in making, a handmade gift can’t be beat. Not surprisingly, we’ve got loads of those in the shop.
May I suggest…
Community Quilt pillow: Sure to brighten any local’s sofa and tea-time conversation. We’ve also got the E17 map version, but come by soon, they’re both going quickly. (£25 with a pillow insert, £22 for just the cover)
Baby blocks: My gift guide for kids didn’t quite cover the pre-walking set, but these handmade blocks have just what babies like bright colours and pictures of people. They’re really not too demanding, are they? (£6 each)
Mini hot water bottle and quilted cover: Like socks, hot water bottles are one of those gifts that are almost universally delightful and practical. The quilted cover looks like it’s just delightful, but a cosy layer of batting helps keep your feet warmer for longer. (£10)
Queenie & Ted clothing: Queenie & Ted’s hand-embroidered and upcycled clothes have to be seen to be believed. We’ve got a large selection to choose from in lots of different sizes–mostly jackets but some dresses and skirts as well–and we get to sell them at half price. (£40)
