Book Now:FreeStyle Patchwork for People and PlanetThursday 12th, 19th and 26th May11am – 12:30pmSt Petrocks, 19 Paris Street Exeter, EX1 2JB
Learn to make a patchwork totebag from excess clothes and items donated to St Petrocks and chat with others concerned about environment and social issues, focus on little everyday steps we can take to improve our wellbeing and that of our community.
Over three sessions we will deconstruct and re-construct – clothes others deem waste and our own sense of ‘mental health and wellbeing.’
Patchwork will be both metaphor and a tangible act of re-iterating the power to create our world and wellbeing through choice making and grace giving.
We will learn simple techniques to empower ourselves. We will use patchwork to celebrate character, highlight quirks, and make beautiful use of materials we have at hand.
This is a 3 week IN PERSON course, commencing 12th May, and continuing on 19th and 26th. It is FREE after registering with Devon Recovery Learning Community – an NHS Recovery College provided by Devon Partnership Trust. Students are people with experience of mental health difficulties, their family and friends, and the professionals who support them.
