GROW with the OXFAM & Craftivist Collective Inspired Tomato Jam Campiagn
There’s more than enough food for everyone but a billion of us don’t have enough to eat. That means one in seven of us goes to bed hungry, every night, no matter how hard we work.
In Walthamstow over 1 in 3 children live in poverty while 1 in 4 receive free school meals.
Significant Seams is leading the Craftivist Campaign of Stitch-ins and Jam making in our area to help us campaign for a fairer world where everyone has enough to eat.
We love craft so are using that as a tool to be the change we wish to see in the world. You can use whatever you are good at to be part of the solution to social injustice rather than part of the problem.
Craft is a time for reflection and so this project encourages you to make time in our busy lives to stop and think about how the way we grow and share our food doesn’t work.
We hope you are inspired by this project to do your own craft sessions or jam making events — but most of all we hope you are inspired to use your skills, passions and talents to make our world a more fair place for all, especially the most vulnerable people in the world.
Come learn more about how you can be part of the solution (and you can be!)
