Calling all yarnaholics! Debbie Bliss Q&A
Debbie Bliss Q&A Evening
Thursday, 29 September 2016, 19:00 – 21:00
We are proud to host an evening with local resident and internationally renowned yarn designer, Debbie Bliss.
This is an opportunity to meet Debbie who has her own yarn line. She is also the most published knitwear designer, with over 35 books, 20 booklets and her own magazine. She was recently awarded with an MBE in the Queen’s 2015 Birthday Honours List for her services to hand knitting and the craft industry.
So how about coming along on Thursday, 29 September 2016, 19:00 – 21:00, when we will have a conversation with Debbie and certainly don’t mind if you bring your knitting! We’ll open the floor to questions about her career, knitting how-to’s, and fundraising. They will be a chance to buy her yarns, patterns and books, get advice and tips, and that sort after autograph.
Debbie Bliss and the staff of Debbie Bliss Home were inspired by the recent aid work with refugees in the Calais Jungle Camp. They decided to renovate and equip a caravan to deliver to refugees. Debbie Bliss has even designed a Blanket for Calais in aid of Side by Side Refugees, a non-political organisation providing direct help to those living in the refugee camps like Calais and Dunkirk.
Debbie is appearing in support of Significant Seams 5th anniversary celebrations. Come armed with your queries for Debbie and enjoy an evening of ideas sharing with other crafters! All attendees will be receiving a Debbie Bliss goodie bag.
Booking is essential via Eventbrite, and refreshments will be provided.
